About our Health Care System

The VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System (VA NWIHCS) consists of the parent facility located at Omaha, Nebraska; a Community Living Center and Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in Grand Island, Nebraska; and Community Based Outpatient Clinics located in Lincoln, North Platte, Holdrege and Norfolk, Nebraska.  The VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System is part of VISN 23.  Services are available to a population of  172,500 veterans living in a 104-county area of Nebraska, western Iowa and portions of Kansas and Missouri.
