VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System (part of VISN 23 )proudly serves veterans in Nebraska, western Iowa and portions of Kansas and Missouri. The Omaha facility is an inpatient facility and also a large outpatient clinic for primary and specialty care. The Community Living Center is located in Grand Island. Omaha VA Medical Center
The VA Medical Center at Omaha is an acute, highly affiliated facility. It is a teaching hospital providing a full range of patient care services as well as education and research. Inpatient and outpatient health care is provided through primary care, medicine, surgery, psychiatry, physical medicine and rehabilitation, neurology, oncology, dentistry, and geriatrics. The Omaha VA Medical Center has a major clinical research program. Strong affiliations exist with the University of Nebraska College of Medicine, Creighton University School of Medicine and many other allied health facilities.
