Our partners work with Veterans to complete a Personal Health Inventory and explore aspects of a personal health plan in group and individual settings. Partners also conduct outreach, letting Veterans know more about Whole Health and how it empowers the Veterans to take charge of their health and lives.

Charles "Chuck" Wess
Charles “Chuck” Wess served our United States Air Force for 8 years. He joined the military after high school where he was stationed in RAF Lakenheath. He comes from a long line of military service members. Charles was born in the Philippines and was raised in Germany. He has made Lincoln his home and started with the VA in the CWT program working with the Engineers. He then became a full-time employee working with EMS. Charles moved over to working with Whole Health Department in December 2018 as the Whole Health Partner. Charles is a family man and the father of two beautiful daughters. He enjoys history, movies, learning the guitar and spending any time he can with his daughters.

Kathryn "Katie" Thiele
Kathryn (Katie) Thiele has lived in South-Central Nebraska for over 30 years with her husband of 36 years. She is the proud mother of three daughters, one of which is a Major in the Air Force, and four grandchildren. Her 95 y/o dad is a Navy veteran who served in WWII and her step-father was a career Marine who served in WWII and Korean Wars. Katie is a Registered Nurse for over 26 years graduating from Creighton University. She also has a degree in Business and Accounting which was a plus in her nursing management roles. She has also worked in surgery, Case Management, Parish Nursing, Wellness Coaching, and long-term care. She has also had some fun ‘side jobs’ to include tutoring at the local college, EMS, working in a greenhouse, and in the office of a manufacturing company. Katie came to the VA 4 years ago to be able to give back to those who sacrificed for her freedoms we all enjoy today. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, quilting (sew therapy), camping and helping others.
