Food and drink is the sustenance for our mind and body. Keep your mind and body properly fueled; choose healthy eating habits that can fit into your lifestyle. Certain supplements, along with base line nutrition, can help support health goals. At Whole Health, health is not just the absence of disease, but a positive vitality.

These are the services the Omaha VA offers Veterans to support this area:

  • Food and Mood: Discover how the food you eat impacts brain health, age related disease, and mood.
  • Intro to the anti-inflammatory diet: Understand the role inflammation plays in common chronic diseases and how to implements an anti-inflammatory style of eating in your life.
  • Nutrition for Women’s Health: Learn how nutrition can impact age related disease specific to women.
  • Nutrition for Men’s Health: Learn how nutrition can impact age related disease specific to men. Classes being held from 1 to 2 p.m. every Thursday at the Center Mall location. Topics will rotate.
  • Cooking Class: This 6-week cooking class will utilize your creative side to learn new ways to create anti-inflammatory meals! Beginner and experienced cooks are welcome.
  • Cook and Flow: Explore new foods and discover the power of the food, spirit, and movement connections. This is a 60-minute anti-inflammatory cooking class followed by a 30-minute yoga flow.
  • Individual nutrition: Sit down with the Whole Health RD to make a personalized nutrition plan that accounts for your health goals and health background.
  • Nutrition for Mind & Body: In this 6-week class series you’ll learn how your food impacts inflammation in the body. Understand which foods and eating patterns influence chronic pain, mood, and inflammatory diseases. Walk away with new tools for changing your eating habits. Also offered at the Lincoln and Grand Island CBOCs.
  • Food and Drink: Food and drink gives our bodies the fuel used to work properly, stay healthy, and fight disease. This course will provide powerful tools and techniques for making healthy choices. Also offered at the Bellevue CBOC.
