Audiology offers face-to-face services in Omaha, Lincoln and Grand Island, and tele-audiology in Holdrege, Norfolk, Shenandoah and North Platte.

Due to COVID-19, open access clinic and walk-in services have been temporarily suspended. Please call to arrange an appointment.

You must be enrolled in the VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System. Services rendered may result in a co-pay; consult eligibility at 402-995-4050 to determine your co-pay status.

Appointments in Grand Island and other clinics:

In Grand Island, patients can call 308-382-3660, ext. 9-2378, for an appointment.
Audiology appointments in other outpatient clinics must be scheduled through telehealth.

Battery and Supplies Reorder

Batteries can be reordered by telephone through the VA Denver Acquisition and Logistics Center.

Call 303-273-6200, and follow the prompts. You will be prompted to press "1" to use the automated battery re-order system.

At this time the most commonly requested batteries can be ordered using the automated line, including sizes: 10, 13, 312, 675, 675HP, AA, AAA and 9V.

For other batteries or re-supply items, please follow the prompts to speak to a customer service agent.

In order to ensure your personal information is kept secure, you will be prompted to enter your nine-digit social security number and verify your mailing zip code to place your order.

Compensation and Pension

If you are seeking service connection for hearing loss or tinnitus, or an increase in your current pension, you must be scheduled for a specific evaluation designated for compensation and pension claims. The Open Access Clinic will not provide compensation and pension audiograms.
