VA COVID-19 VETERANS MASS VACCINATION STATION SCHEDULED FOR COLUMBUS ON WEDNESDAY CANCELLED; VACCINATIONS STILL AVAILABLE AT OTHER VA LOCATIONS

OMAHA, Neb. – VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System announced today that the VA COVID-19 Veterans Mass Vaccination Station previously announced for Wednesday, April 21, at the Nebraska National Guard’s Armed Forces Reserve Center in Columbus, Nebraska, has been cancelled. Those Veterans who had originally been scheduled to receive a vaccine have had their inoculations rescheduled for either the COVID-19 Mass Vaccination Station in Norfolk, Neb., or for the regularly scheduled COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics at the VA’s medical facilities in either Lincoln, Omaha or Grand Island.

For those Veterans, Veteran Spouses or Veteran Caregivers wishing to receive a vaccination through the VA, the VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System is currently providing vaccinations at the following times and locations:
• Omaha VA Medical Center: (Pfizer Vaccine) Mondays-thru-Fridays, 8 a.m. thru 3 p.m.; Saturdays, 8 a.m. thru noon. Walk-in appointments are also available from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., (M-F).
• Grand Island VA Medical Center: (Moderna Vaccine) Tuesdays and Thursdays. First dose appointments, 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.; Second dose appointments, 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.
• Lincoln VA Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (Moderna Vaccine): Mondaysthru-Fridays, 9 a.m. thru noon.
