Nebraska American Legion Auxiliary provides free gifts
for residents at Grand Island VA Community Living Center

OMAHA, Neb. — Veterans who are residents at the Department of Veterans Affairs Community Living Center in Grand Island, Neb., don’t need to worry about having time to buy a holiday gift for a family member. The Nebraska American Legion Auxiliary is bringing a gift shop to them.

Veterans who are residents at the CLC can select a free gift and have it wrapped.

The Nebraska American Legion Auxiliary opens its holiday gift shop for Veterans Dec. 10 at the VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System Grand Island CLC. The shop opens at 10 a.m. in the second-floor residential hall until all Veteran residents have been served.

The gift shop has been hosted at the VA’s health care facility for decades.
