NEWS RELEASE: Veterans Affairs to host Community Book Club, Oct. 23

OMAHA, Neb., — A community book club is being hosted at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 23 at the Department of Veterans Affairs Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System Community-Based Outpatient Clinic, 600 S. 70th St, Lincoln, Neb., in Room 107.
This month’s club will review The Yellow Birds by Kevin Powers.
Future book groups will meet at 7:30 p.m. on the dates listed below. Books will be provided.
- Dec. 11, The Guns at Last Light: The War in Western Europe, parts 1 and 2, by Rick Atkinson
- Jan. 22, 2014, The Guns at Last Light: The War in Western Europe, parts 3 and 4
The club is open to anyone.
The book clubs are designed to promote a healthy lifestyle as part of the VA’s patient-centered care approach that focuses on the whole person’s well-being.
