VA Offers Eligible Veterans Seasonal Flu Vaccine
OMAHA, Neb., -- The Veterans Health Administration seasonal flu vaccination campaign kicks off Monday. The theme for this year’s campaign is “Infection: Don’t Pass It On.” Veterans are encouraged to receive their free flu vaccination at their nearest VA health care facility.
Veterans must be enrolled in the VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System to be eligible to receive the flu vaccination. Veterans not already enrolled may apply for enrollment at their nearest VA clinic. If the Veteran meets current requirements for enrollment, he or she may be provided the vaccination.
Veterans are encouraged to receive their flu vaccination during their regularly scheduled appointments in the primary care, mental health and specialty clinics. However, a walk-in flu clinic is also available at the VA facilities during the following dates and times:
