VA Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System wants to ask, what matters to you?

What better way of doing this by unveiling a brand new web page link here

Whole Health is VA’s cutting-edge approach to care that supports your health and well-being. Whole Health centers around
what matters to you, not what is the matter with you. This means your health team will get to know you as a person, before working with you to develop a personalized health plan based on your values, needs, and goals. The new pages introduce Veterans to the system, coaches, recreational assistants and programs they have to offer throughout the service areas. The new Whole Health page also will provide downloadable calandars with current schedules for the Omaha, Lincoln and Grand Island areas.

Introduction of Whole Health is offered to get Veterans in the right direction. During the class, Veterans learn more about the Whole Health approach to care, the concepts behind Whole Health living, and complete Personal Health Inventory to take with them before they even step into the class.
NWI also just introduced a 9 week course called Taking Charge of My Life and Health in Omaha Lincoln and in Grand Island, Nebraska. The class promises to give you an opportunity to reflect on what really matters to you. In the class, Vetererans are encouraged to choose an area of your life that you want to enhance and develop a plan for reaching your goals.

The Whole Health approach to care empowers, equips, and treats Veterans so they can take charge of their health and well-being and live their lives to the fullest.
Health Coaches and Peer-facilitators support and listen to Veterans as they learn to Live Whole Health.

Veterans in Omaha are asked to call 402-599-2130, in Lincoln 402-486-7822 and in Grand Island 308-395-3405 to schedule a visit.
